26 Nov / Why is daily step entry limited?

Why are manual step entries limited to a certain number of steps per day?

Unlike steps synced from pedometers that are synced directly to our system, manually entered steps are unverified.

Because manually entered steps are unverified, each company generally opts to have a cap on manually entered steps to avoid typos and/or, ehem… “exaggeration.” Most groups have a cap of 20,000 steps per day for manual entries, but your group’s cap may be different depending upon your company’s requested cap.

Steps that are imported via a pedometer connected to our system are not limited, so if you have a compatible device (Fitbit, Jawbone, Misfit, Withings), be sure to connect it by following the steps found here.
